Green Firewood—A New Option
For a limited time, we are offering green (unseasoned) firewood for those who experienced out-of-stock listings last year and want to get ahead by seasoning their firewood at home. If you have the space to properly stack and dry firewood, this is a great way to secure your supply before the summer price increase. Orders can be placed until May 31.
Please note that this green firewood will be split directly into the dump trailer via conveyor, which means there may be a few more small splinters or pieces of bark—these are great for starting fires. By eliminating the extra step of moving the wood, we’re able to pass the cost savings directly to you.
1/2 face cord (or 1/6 cord) of freshly split assorted hardwoods - typically Ash, Maple, Beech, and Locust. 15-17 inch length.
Tips for Drying and Storing Firewood
For best results, stack your firewood to allow it to dry thoroughly over the spring, summer, and fall before burning. Make sure to stack the wood off the ground to maximize airflow and sunlight exposure, and avoid stacking it against a wall under a gutter-less eave, or completely covered under a tarp that extends down to the ground.
